Vijay Prashad is the Director of International Studies at Trinity College. He is the author of twenty books, most recently the forthcoming book Death of a Nation and the Future of the Arab Revolution (University of California Press, 2016), and earlier than that The Poorer Nations: A Possible History of the Global South (Verso, 2013). He is a weekly columnist for al-Araby, al-Jadeed, Birgün and AlterNet, as well as a fortnightly columnist for Frontline and a regular contributor to The Hindu.
