Day 1

Thursday, October 22 | 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Day One features a keynote address by Dr. Marcela Cuellar and panels on the HSI landscape, academic success, Latiné research, and community and belonging. Thursday offers flexible, drop-in participation—attend all or part of the program when it works best for your schedule.

Lunch will be provided by Pupusa Time, with Salvadoran pupusas and aguas frescas. Gluten-free and vegan options will be available.

Join us afterward for a 5 p.m. reception with acoustic music by Ricardo Cardenas and refreshments and delicious bites by Shield Catering.

Planning to attend Thursday only? No further action is needed. Simply show up for the panels that work best for your schedule—we look forward to seeing you there!

Day 2 — Action Required

Friday, October 23 | 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

Day Two is a collaborative planning workshop focused on developing ideas, identifying priorities, and outlining initial action plans. Invited participants will work in groups focused on recruitment and enrollment, retention and graduation, research, or culture building. Planning groups will be assigned Friday morning.

Day Two has limited capacity and requires a commitment to participate for the full day on Friday, October 23, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

If you would like to participate in Day Two, please email cllas@uoregon.edu, inquiring about your interest and reason for wanting to participate in Day 2, and what you can contribute to the conversation of better UO for Latine students.
