LATINX HERITAGE MONTH: Join us for a public reading of the Penelope’s Loom Project! A public reading that follows the Oct. 20 Creative Writing Workshop led by Ana-Maurine Lara.

This public poetry reading of the Penelope’s Loom Project features creative writing by people of color and migrants in the Pacific Northwest. They engage personal experiences of migration, memories of home, and everyday social marginalization and belonging.

Come hear award winning poets Ana-Maurine Lara and Claudia F. Savage, alongside Penelope’s Loom workshop participants. Accommodations available upon request. For any concerns or questions, contact Prof. Alai Reyes-Santos at alai@uoregon.edu.

Sponsored by Center for Latino/a & Latin American Studies, cosponsored: Department of Ethnic Studies.
