“Representations of the ‘Other’ and the Work of Poet Urayoán Noel”
While in New York, Brandon Rigby researched the performative aspect of bilingual poetry to suppliment his work with poet Urayoán Noel on one of the principle concerns of translation studies: analyzing how cultures represent the “other,” and how this is transmitted across languages.
Brandon Rigby is the recipient of a 2013 CLLAS Graduate Student Grant.
