Lidia Esther Muñoz Paniagua, PhD Student at University of Oregon, presents her research on the access to healthcare for vulnerable H2-A farmworkers in the United States and Mexico. This critical examination explores the intersection of immigration policy, labor rights, and healthcare access, highlighting the challenges faced by these workers. Lidia shares her preliminary findings on the impact of age, misconceptions about healthcare, and the role of gender and race on health experiences. She also discusses the concept of biocommunicability and its implications for healthcare access. This research aims to inform policy and practice, improving healthcare access for H2-A farmworkers.
