Katie Meehan is engaged in a 3-year-research project funded by NSF
April 2018—Last summer, Katie Meehan, associate professor in the UO Department of Geography, started a three-year research project funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, exploring how scientists integrate and mobilize climate change knowledge across disciplinary cultures, spatial scales, and international borders. The project examines three case studies of research initiatives in the Americas, including a US-Brazil project, the Fulbright NEXUS, and the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI). This research was profiled in a short media story by reporter Emily Halnon for Around the O: https://around.uoregon.edu/content/uo-researcher-trails-intriguing-subject-other-researchers.
