  • Carlos Aguirre (Professor of History, University of Oregon), “The Writer and the Revolution: Mario Vargas Llosa and Cuba, 1959-1968.” Carlos Aguirre, a historian of modern Latin America, has just completed a book manuscript on the early literary and political career of Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa.
