Stay Home, Stay Safe

CLLAS is postponing all in person public events until next academic year. Our offices are closed and staff are working remotely.

CLLAS remains committed to intellectual engagement and supporting research in Latinx and Latin American Studies. This will happen virtually/online during this unprecedented time.

Meanwhile, LA SERENATA, a short film by Ernesto Martínez (Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies, award-winning filmmaker, and CLLAS grantee), premiered this Friday on HBO and will be available on cable, as well as on all of their online platforms for two years.  If you’re looking for something to watch with your family, check it out!

You can find more information here: https://www.hbo.com/latinx/la-serenata-the-serenade

Please reach out to us at cllas@uoregon.edu with your film, book, and past-time recommendations, as well as any suggestions as to how we can continue to build community and support one another as we remain at home.
