This project was supported by the Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies with the Center for the Study of Women in Society ( In addition to this booklet, the Latino Roots project involves classes at the University of Oregon, two video documentaries, and a website and digital archive. The Latino Roots project is administered through the Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies and is part of the “Americas in a Globalized World: Linking Diversity and Internationalization” big idea at the University of Oregon.
